Job Title: Arts Administrator
Organisation: Creative Health Camden (CHC)
Location: Kentish Town Health Centre & Queen’s Crescent GP Practice, Camden
Salary: £28,500 pro rata
Contract: Part-time, 1 day per week between 10am-6pm. In person.
About Creative Health Camden
Creative Health Camden is a charity based within Kentish Town Health Centre. We work at the intersection of community, health and the arts. We work in partnership with the James Wigg and Queens Crescent GP practices as part of a social prescribing model, delivering arts, dance, crafts, gardening, and breathing workshops. We also curate the exhibitions throughout the health centre to create a space that doesn’t just focus on the clinical but enables patients to feel inspired by the building itself.
Role Overview
We are seeking an organised and proactive Arts Administrator to support the Artistic Director in delivering a diverse and engaging arts programme across Kentish Town Health Centre and Queen’s Crescent GP Practice. This role will involve exhibition curation, marketing, event planning, and artist liaison, ensuring a vibrant and well-maintained artistic presence within these healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
Exhibitions & Curation
Work closely with the Artistic Director to curate exhibitions at Kentish Town Health Centre and Queen’s Crescent GP Practice.
Liaise with artists regarding exhibition logistics, contracts, and artwork transportation.
Oversee the installation and deinstallation of exhibitions, ensuring high presentation standards.
Conduct weekly checks of exhibition spaces to maintain a professional and ‘tidy’ appearance.
Marketing & Social Media
Develop and implement marketing strategies for exhibitions and events.
Manage social media channels, creating engaging content to promote CHC’s activities.
Produce promotional materials, including press releases, newsletters, and exhibition guides.
Event Planning & Support
Organise private views, workshops, and other relevant events.
Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup, invitations, and attendee management.
Provide technical support for podcasts, virtual exhibitions and other digital initiatives.
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience in arts administration, exhibition coordination, or event planning.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with artists and handling artworks.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
Technical competence in supporting podcast production and digital content creation.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Knowledge of the arts and health sector.
Practical skills for installing and deinstalling exhibitions.
Graphic design or video editing skills.
Ability to work with people with additional access needs
Financial & Employment Terms
The salary for this role is £28,499.31 pro rata, paid monthly via BACS through CHC’s payroll portal.
Holiday entitlement: 4 days annual leave per year to be agreed in advance with the Artistic Director, this does not include Bank Holidays
Notice period: This contract can be terminated by either party with 4 weeks’ notice.
