Anapana Meditation Session

Vipassana Meditation (as taught by SN Goenka) is a practical method that enables individuals to dissolve mental tensions, and as a result deal with day to-day challenges in more positive ways. Vipassana Meditation is open to all and is not connected to any religious organisation. All Vipassana courses are offered free of charge, running solely on donations.

Anapana (awareness of the breath) Meditation is used as a preparation for the main technique of Vipassana, but is also a powerful technique in itself. It does not use visualisation or verbalisation. The benefits of practicing Anapana Meditation include better concentration and the ability to remain in the present moment.

This session offered by the Vipassana Trust, a UK educational charity, includes a 20 minute introduction to Vipassana video and a 25 minute Anapana Meditation 'taster' followed by an opportunity for Q&A.
